We shape the session together

Every school is different. We'll have a brief conversation to understand your staff's needs and tailor the session accordingly.

Deliver something your staff remember

An engaging, practical session that leaves staff with tools they'll actually use โ€” and feel better for having attended.

"The Breathe program has been extremely helpful for both pupils and staff at Sebright School. It has changed the way we think about how we prepare the pupils to learn and how we manage stress and anxiety. Staff and pupils enthusiastically take part in all the activities. I would highly recommend investing in the program."
โ€” James Green, Sebright School, Hackney
"The session with School Breathe was extremely helpful and made us as a team reflect on the impact this can have not just on our young people but ourselves. I have been met with nothing but care, kindness, and guidance to support me in this."
โ€” Jackie Hourihan, Senior Clinical Supervisor, Havering Emotional Support Team
"The session struck the perfect balance of science and practice โ€” students became increasingly engaged throughout, and it was a lovely moment of calm and bonding watching them all breathe as one by the end. They left relaxed, enlightened and empowered with a new tool to help them navigate the challenges they face day to day. Staff and students alike thoroughly enjoyed it, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it."
โ€” Rhiannon Goodrich, Christ College Brecon
Do staff need any experience of breathwork or mindfulness?

Not at all. Sessions are designed to be accessible to everyone โ€” including those who are sceptical or have never tried anything like this before. The focus is always on practical, usable techniques, not anything esoteric.

What do you need on the day?

Just a space large enough for the group to sit comfortably โ€” chairs in rows or a circle both work well. A microphone is helpful for groups over 30. No mats, props or equipment are needed.

Can the session be adapted for a smaller group or leadership team?

Yes โ€” sessions can be tailored for groups of any size, from a small leadership team to a whole-school INSET. Smaller groups often allow for more depth and discussion, which works really well for wellbeing leads or SLT.

Is this suitable for support staff as well as teachers?

Absolutely. The content is relevant to everyone working in a school environment โ€” teaching assistants, admin staff, and lunchtime supervisors experience many of the same pressures and benefit just as much from these tools.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. Online sessions work well for remote staff wellbeing days, twilight sessions, or multi-site schools. Get in touch to discuss what would work best for your team.

How far in advance should we book?

For INSET days, especially September and January, it's worth getting in touch at least 6โ€“8 weeks ahead to secure your preferred date. That said, do reach out even if your date is closer โ€” we'll always do our best.

School Breathe

School Breathe was founded to bring evidence-informed breathing and wellbeing practices into education. Sessions are grounded in the science of the autonomic nervous system and shaped around the specific pressures of working in schools.

I've worked with school staff and adult wellbeing groups, and understand what it actually takes to support people who are stretched for time, energy, and headspace. The goal is always the same: leave every session with something genuinely useful that you'll still be using in six months.
