Welcome to an introduction to Breathwork for Teacher Wellbeing, designed specifically for primary school teachers and school staff. In today's fast-paced  educational environment, stress levels among  educators have reached unprecedented heights, with recent studies indicating that nearly 60% of teachers report feeling stressed on a daily basis. We have included two calming breathwork videos and a soothing breathwork audio session, each carefully crafted to help you manage stress and anxiety, enhancing your sense of calm and connection. This is a sample of what you can experience during an INSET (either online or in person) day which is designed to equip teachers with some self care tools to help them manage their busy lives.  Through the power of breathwork, you will learn techniques to centre yourself, reduce stress, and cultivate a peaceful and focused state of mind, allowing you to bring your best self to the classroom every day. You will also learn about healthy breathing habits and what to do to help prevent dysfunctional breathing patterns, which has been life changing for many.

Tech Neck Reliever Breath (Video)

The continual advancement of screen technology in schools and the rise of school apps encouraging teachers to spend more time on their phones can lead to the development of unhealthy breathing habits. This soothing breath exercise serves as the perfect antidote to the growing complaints of 'Tech Neck'.

Box Breath for Calm and Concentration (Video)

Research shows a regular practice of box breathing can help improve focus, lower blood pressure and calm the mind.

Paced Breathing for Calm (Audio)

Research shows that slowing our breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping us to feel calm and present. Always breathe in and out through your nose for a healthier practice, ensuring each breath is light and gentle. Use the tones to guide your breath into a slower rhythm; if the tones feel too prolonged, simply treat them as a cue to reduce your breath rate. Even a five-minute daily practice can yield significant benefits, making it an excellent routine to adopt before sleep.
