What is it?
Community wellbeing, grounded in breath
The Breathing Hub is a free programme of weekly community sessions for anyone who would benefit from a calm, non-clinical space to breathe, move and connect. No referral needed. No fitness level required. Just come as you are.
Each session weaves together breathwork, gentle movement, creative expression and reflection โ giving you practical tools you can carry into everyday life.
We're based in Redbrook, on the Welsh/English border, and deliver sessions across Monmouthshire โ because we believe that good wellbeing support should be local, accessible and free.

Our Approach
Five pillars, one session
Every Breathing Hub session is built around five evidence-informed elements, woven together into one coherent, gentle experience.
01
Breathwork
Guided breathing techniques that calm the nervous system and bring you into the present moment.
02
Education
Simple, accessible learning about how the breath affects body and mind โ knowledge you can use.
03
Movement
Gentle, inclusive movement to bring the body into the experience โ no fitness level required.
04
Creativity
A space for creative expression โ whatever form feels right for you in that moment.
05
Narration & Integration
A gentle group reflection to make sense of the experience and carry it forward.

Can't make it in person?
Breathe here.
These free exercises are here for you anytime, wherever you are. One to five minutes โ that's all it takes to shift how you feel.
Physiological Sigh
The fastest way to reduce stress in real time. A double inhale through the nose followed by a long exhale โ your body's own reset button.
Box Breathing
Equal counts of inhale, hold, exhale and hold โ like tracing the sides of a square. Calms the mind and steadies focus.
Extended Exhale
Breathing out for longer than you breathe in activates the parasympathetic nervous system โ your body's natural calm response.
Coherent Breathing
Slow, even breathing at around five breaths per minute โ a rhythm that brings the heart rate and nervous system into balance.
4-7-8 Breath
Inhale for four, hold for seven, exhale for eight. Especially helpful before sleep or in moments of acute anxiety.
